When will Dr. Jones be retiring?
Dr. Jones will be retiring from seeing patients on our regular schedule in June
If I’m in the middle of treatment with Dr. Jones, how will this be handled?
We have developed a list of patients in the middle of treatment with Dr. Jones. Some have treatment processes that will be able to be completed by Dr. Jones, and others have treatment processes that will be completed by Dr. Harris. You will receive a direct communication from Ellen/Cindy regarding your status and plans to complete treatment.
Why is this the right time for Dr. Jones to retire?
Now is providentially the right time for him to retire to focus on his family given the recent death of his father-in-law and other factors. We have been extremely grateful for his faithful continued service as we have finalized our search for our new dentist.
Will I have the opportunity to express thanks to Dr. Jones as he retires?
You will have the chance to contribute to a new scholarship at the U of L Dentistry School which has been named in his honor. Annually the scholarship will benefit a deserving student in the dental school. In addition, you can write a note of appreciation to Dr. Jones which will be put in a “keepsake” gift and presented to him. These are due by May 31st.
When will the new dentist begin seeing patients?
Dr. Ruby will begin seeing patients on Monday, June 12th
Tell us more about Dr. Ruby
Dr. Ruby values faith, his family, treating patients with excellence, learning, and establishing positive relationships with others. He has participated in missions work both overseas and here in Louisville to help others with their dental needs. In speaking with several dentists directly familiar with his ability, they have been impressed with his interpersonal skills and the quality of dental deliverables. In getting to know him you will appreciate his demeanor, acumen, and humility. We will share more information at the beginning of June.
If I have typically seen Dr. Jones, which dentist will I see moving forward?
Moving forward you can be assured you will receive great care from both Dr. Harris and Dr. Ruby. People who have seen Dr. Jones can determine whether they now wish to see Dr. Harris or Dr. Ruby. You will enjoy meeting Dr. Ruby in June!
